CONFERENCESThe WLA conference will be 24-26.Sep.2012 in Istanbul , Turkey. Registration and early bird prices are open from July.2012 .Registration will close 31 Aug.2012. The early bird prices are only up for grabs for the first 2 weeks in July.2012. Prices will be advised when open for registration,there will be a sub website again and the one to one scheduler. Ultimately WLA comes down to being a very very safe place / Network to do business and linking people and building business relationships. The logistic and freight forwarding business is all about people and the conferences have shown to be one of the most essential and valuable tool in this industry. To meet people face to face is still the most effective way of generating new business and it is something you can not replace with any kind of techno device,or communication option. The one to one scheduler gives you the opportunity to book in advance up to 33 meetings with potential new clients or partners. This is more meetings then every everage conference offers . Every conference is an amazing experience to see how much business can be transacted with in 3 days . We have seen and experienced many times over that after a conference event ,companies have increased their business so much that within month they had to employ more staff .It is not unknown that, if you start handling the routings just for one new partner agent, your business world and dynamic changes totally . CONFERENCESWe intend to deliver to you the first WLA conference for members in Kuala Lumpur in the first quarter of 2010. Ultimately WLA comes down to linking people and building business relationships. WLA encourages members to attend conferences at least every second year. The annual conferences will be about: Sharing information with you about what is new in the industry. Learning and listening to you our members about how you want to be supported as a member of WLA. Providing opportunities to meet individual members and explore opportunities to work together – one on one meetings. Showcasing your business to other freight forwarders – raising your profile amongst other members. Opportunities for group discussions and team building. Learning about the region/country where the conference is being held– in terms of the freighting industry as well as the local community and culture. Having a bit of time to relax and have fun and some bonding exercises. We will aim to keep our members updated with our conference plans and to seek your input into the program. Proposed conference format: Day 1( pm) - The day of arrival is for registration and time for members to meet in a less formal and businesslike way. Day 2/3 ( 2 full days) – A more formal program of presentations and discussions is proposed to ensure the sharing information and the building of relationships. Day 4 (am) – The focus will be on seeking members’ input in how we can ensure WLA meets and continues to meet your needs as network provider. Our Gala Dinner will bring the conference to a close and is when members performances will be highlighted and the winners 3 members will receive their cash prices and rewards. Our intention is for the conferences to not only be a very valuable business forum to also be a fun and memorable . Lasting business relationships are always created in a relaxed and fun environment and that is what will set our conference apart as well. There will be lots of time to have fun and relax over the four days and we encourage you to bring partners and family members. We will endeavour to secure hotel rates at reduced levels for WLA members. A one to one meeting scheduler will be available for bookings on our conference website late this year or early 2010 . |
